Piedmont Public Schools is committed to providing comprehensive educational services to all students – including students with disabilities. Piedmont makes every effort to locate, identify, and evaluate all children suspected of having a disability, ages 3 through 21, under the provisions established by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1997 (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Piedmont adheres to the policies and procedures set forth under IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the State Department of Education, to ensure that all students receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE).  We also comply with FERPA, Family Education Rights Privacy Act. 

Piedmont Schools provides specialized instruction and related services to students who qualify with the following disabilities:
