A little about me...
Welcome to my website where you will find important information about my classroom .
A little about my teaching career...
First I would like to tell you a little about me. This is my second year of teaching at Piedmont Elementary and my second year teaching 4th grade. I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I am also certified in Early Childhood Education. I regularly attend workshops to continue learning new methods of teaching and new ways of managing the classroom. Teaching has been a life-long dream for me and I am extremely thankful to be here.
I am very excited about being your child's teacher this year. I look forward to meeting all of my students' parents and want you to know that I am here for your student. Please never hesitate to call, e-mail, or come by (please schedule a time) if you have a concern.

Homework will be assigned Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of each week. Thursday homework will typically be study prep for Friday's test
Your child should be reading 20-30 minutes every night to meet the book report goal and AR reading goals. (Please refer to your child's book report due dates on the back of your Parent Night Packet.) They will receive a state reading certificate for the completion of 25 books at the end of the school year.
