PHS Senior Events Schedule 2018

Please make sure you (students and parents) are signed up for Remind 101.                                                                                                                                                                   Text @gradyear18 to 81010

Thursday, May 10th-- Group and Handshake Pictures-- meet in the high school gym at 9:00 am (you will be called out of class at this time).  You will need cap/gown/tassel and dress clothes/shoes for the pictures.

Thursday, May 17th, and Friday, May 18th-- Semester Tests in All Core Classes-- It will be a normal school day.  English and Science tests will be taken on Thursday and Math and Social Studies tests will be taken on Friday.  This will be your last day in classes, so make sure all books and your Chromebook is returned at this time.  

Sunday, May 20th-- Baccalaureate is at Collett, at 2:00 pm (Arrive no later than 1:30 pm)--  Wear nice clothes and your graduation gown-- graduation caps are NOT worn at Baccalaureate).  All family and friends are welcome to attend.  It usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour.  A come and go reception of punch and cookies will be held in the lobby of Collett, after the ceremony.

Monday, May 21st, Morning-- Senior Sunrise & Graduation Practice-- Meet at the high school football field at 6:20 am, for Senior Sunrise.  Breakfast will be served from 6:30 am- 7:30 am, and the Senior DVD will be shown on the scoreboard.  We will load buses at 7:45 am, for graduation practice at the arena.  We should be back to school by noon, so you can go home and get ready for graduation.

GRADUATION PRACTICE IS MANDATORY!

Monday, May 21st, Evening-- Graduation 6:30 pm, Jim Norick Arena (Oklahoma State Fair Grounds)-- Be there no later than 5:45 pm-- plan for traffic and time to park.  Dress clothes, shoes, cap, and gown.  Meet in the holding area.  Leave phones, purses, etc. with parents.  All family and friends are welcome to attend graduation.  Do NOT decorate your cap.  Write your name inside your cap, so you can find it after the caps are thrown in the air.  Remove your tassel before throwing your cap.)

Tuesday, May 22nd-- Blood Drive-- Seniors will need to either give blood or sign up to work a two-hour shift during the blood drive.  Sign-up sheets to give blood or work will be in Mrs. Thomas' room (310).  

Monday, June 4th-- Diploma/Transcript Pick-Up-- Seniors may pick up diplomas/transcripts at the high school.
