Message from Superintendent

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Piedmont Public Schools. The 2018-2019 school year has already been memorable and marked with many accomplishments and honors. This includes our Pride of Piedmont earning a second place finish at the Oklahoma Band Association State Contest. In addition, our Cross Country Boys' Team took the state title, while the Girls' Team earned third place.  The Ladycat's Softball Team competed in the state playoffs.

Following the trend of past years, our district has once again experienced enrollment growth. We currently have more than 4,300 students spread out over our seven school sites. To put this growth into perspective, our student population has grown by over 1,500 students during the past ten years.  We are fortunate to have an incredibly supportive community-- with the passage of a $71.7 million bond package, we continue to upgrade and add facilities.  Our new F & M Stadium and indoor practice facility opened in August of this year.  We look forward to opening a new wing of classrooms at Northwood Elementary before the winter break.  August 2019 will be an exciting time with the addition of a new Early Childhood Center and completion of building projects at Piedmont Elementary and Piedmont High School.

Even with this substantial growth, Piedmont remains one of the top schools in the State of Oklahoma. We truly believe this can be directly attributed to Piedmont's outstanding students and parents, as well as our dedicated board of education, administrators, teachers, and staff. Our school also benefits from the strong support of our many parent organizations, booster clubs, and partnerships with local businesses.

Throughout our website, you will find information about our district, and each of our individual school sites. We hope you find this informational and helpful. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact us.
