SAFETY INFORMATION: Piedmont High School Home Football Games
Wildcat Families,
The safety of our school community is always our top priority. In light of recent events, the Piedmont Public Schools leadership team has re-evaluated safety protocols for all home high school football games. By implementing the following safety procedures, we aim to create a secure and enjoyable environment for all attendees during these athletic events. Your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines are greatly appreciated. The following measures will be in effect immediately.
General Guidelines:
All attendees are expected to adhere to school and event rules and regulations. Weapons are prohibited at school-sponsored events or upon any school property, school transportation, or school-sponsored transportation, in accordance with Piedmont Schools Board of Education policy FNCGA, Weapons-Free Schools.
In case of emergencies or unforeseen incidents, attendees should follow the instructions of event staff, administrators, and security personnel.
Admission and Accompaniment:
All students in grades Pre-K through 8th must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at Piedmont High School football events. Students must sit with a parent/guardian throughout the event to ensure safety.
IMPORTANT: Parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision and behavior of their children.
Security and Reporting:
All Piedmont-sponsored athletic events will have an increased presence of police officers and School Resource Officers (SROs) to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Attendees are encouraged to report any suspicious or concerning activities to a Piedmont Schools Administrator or a police officer at the event.
No Re-Entry Policy:
A strict no re-entry policy will continue to be enforced at Piedmont-sponsored athletic events.
Enhanced Lighting and Parking Lot Safety:
To improve visibility and deter potential safety concerns, additional lighting will be utilized in parking areas.
