Piedmont Public Schools Curriculum & Instruction Department is dedicated to equipping staff members with research-based resources to engage all learners in every classroom across our school district.

In collaboration with teachers, staff, students, and Wildcat families, we strive to maintain engaging learning environments that provide quality educational opportunities, leading to high-performing outcomes for all students.

Classroom content is driven by Oklahoma Academic Standards from the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

Oklahoma Academic Standards

Oklahoma Academic Standards serve as expectations for what students should know and be able to do by the end of the school year.

Resources by Grade Level

Standards-Based Report Cards (Grades PK-5)

Standards-based grading highlights skills a student should master in his/her grade level. Instead of a single overall grade, this type of grading breaks down the subject matter into smaller “learning targets.” Each target is a teachable concept that students should master by the end of the course. Throughout the quarter, student learning is recorded. Teachers track student progress, give appropriate feedback, and adapt instruction to meet student needs.

Traditional Report Cards (Grades 6-12)

A traditional report card communicates a student's performance in different subjects. These grades are often based on a combination of factors, including test scores, homework, class participation, and teacher evaluations, summarizing a student's overall performance in a certain course.
