Title IX & Discrimination

The Piedmont School District hereby agrees that it will comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 which states that no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participating in, denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. The school district is an equal opportunity employer. It is, therefore, the policy of the Piedmont Independent School District No. I-22 to provide equal opportunities without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, qualified handicap, or veteran status in its educational programs and activities. This includes, but is not limited to admissions, educational services, financial aid and employment. Inquiries concerning application of this policy may be referred to Title IX Coordinator.
